  • Outdoor Adventure Kayak/Canoe Trips,  3 hour sessions beginning at 9:30 a.m., Outdoor Adventure Rental Center Go off-campus and enjoy Mother Nature. Pick one of three available sessions for a kayak or canoe trip to nearby Evergreen Lake. Sessions are three hours long and depart at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., or 11:30 a.m. Meet at the Outdoor Adventure Center located at the corner of Main and Locust Streets. The cost is $5 and includes activity instruction, transportation and equipment. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Please dress accordingly.
  • **Technology QuickStart, 10 am. - 4:30 p.m., College of Business Building, Room 130 These one-hour technology orientation sessions provide vital information about the technology you'll use at Illinois State. Required for all new students. Attend the session you signed up for at Preview. Haven't registered or forgot your session time? Contact us.
  • Classroom Tours, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. meet at the Old Main Bell on the Quad
    Be prepared for classes tomorrow by finding out where all of your classes are located. Participate in classroom tours conducted by the Student Alumni Council.
  • It's a Different World - How to Succeed at Illinois State Open House (session for underrepresented students), 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., Julia N. Visor Academic Center Find out what life at Illinois State is like for underrepresented students, the university expectations, and the many resources available to help you succeed and make this campus "home."
  • Kickoff 'Que, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. , Bowling & Billiards Center courtyard Before you start class on Monday, join Diversity Advocacy for a kick-off cookout with free food, music, and fun. Make new friends, meet supportive faculty and staff, and meet student organizations from different cultures, as well as historically Black, Asian and Latino Greek lettered organizations.
